Lua Music has been in the market since 1998 and since then, Lua has been totally committed in developing a top quality catalog ,working with some of the best musicians and producers in Brazil and to create opportunities for the “not so well exposed” artists to show their potential is one of our main drives.
One of our main concepts at Lua Music is to allow the musician, artist or songwriter to explore his complete potential in a creative and free environment, offering to the market a wide range of brazilian quality music in different styles.
Diversity is a word that well defines Lua Music and the label casting is a proof of it, bringing the experience of MPB/Rock’n’Roll/ electronic from Rebeca Matta and Moisés Santana to the classics of MPB with Angela Maria, Jards Macalé Moacyr Luz, Filó Machado and Claudio Nucci; passing through the instrumental of Dom Salvador, Carlinhos Antunes and Keco Brandão, also through the “dance-music” of RodHanna’s band, till the roots samba of Guilherme de Brito and Casquinha da Portela. The intention is to show how the brazilian music can be of quality still respecting it’s plurality.
For the last 7 years, Lua Music has been consistently growing and since January 2005, we have been distributing our own catalog. Besides that, we created our own Strategic Marketing Department focusing on developing taylor-made music projects for businesses that want to associate quality music to their brand names, concepts or campaigns. The International Department has also been created, licensing and exporting our products to all over the world, with partners in Europe and Japan.
At the head of Lua Music is Thomas Roth, one of the most respected professional in the brazilian publicity industry and also a well talented musician and songwriter, recorded by Elis Regina, Roupa Nova, Beto Guedes, Jane Duboc and Emílio Santiago, among others.
